Yeehaa, I picked good weather again and took a day off mid week.

Arrived to find it blowing a solid F6-7 and Al changing up to a 5.0m. So I rigged up my 5.0m and wave board.

The wind was almost straight onshore and the tide was getting quite high so it was a case of heading down towards the estuary to keep away from the groynes.

At first I found it ok going out but tricky coming backup trying to dodge the waves and keep planing. Had some good runs today and quite a few dives but not much swimming as I was playing safe. Also had a few jumps, no points for style yet but managed to sail away from some ok.

Al packed up and headed off to work and after a rest I headed back out. Managed one really long run where I made it down to near the estuary and found some nice areas of flatish water between the waves. Eventually got taken down but landed in my depth on a sand bank. The waves were a bit mean there and the currrents going all over the place but after three attempts I got back out and made another long run back in.

Excellent session.
